Braves' top lefty prospect Kolby Allard with a solid performance for Danville

Atlanta's 2015 first round pick Kolby Allard had another solid outing in Danville.

Danville Braves' left-handed pitcher Kolby Allard pitched six scoreless innings Thursday against Johnson City.

Allard allowed just two hits, walked one and struck out five. His ERA in Danville is now 1.80. In his five 2016 starts between Rome and Danville, Allard has now allowed just 22 hits in 22 innings, with 13 earned runs allowed, five walks and 23 strikeouts. In his two starts with Danville, Allard has now allowed just two earned runs in 10 innings, with one walk and 11 strikeouts.

This was Allard's longest outing as a pro pitcher. He now has 35 strikeouts in 28 professional innings pitched.

The Braves took Allard with the 14th overall pick in the 2015 amateur draft.
