Touki Toussiant's numbers continue to look better with every start. For the season, Toussaint's ERA is down to 4.34 in 17 games (15 starts), with 66 hits allowed in 83 innings, 40 earned runs allowed, 46 walks and 68 strikeouts.
In Toussaint's seven starts since the start of June, he's allowed 28 hits in 40 innings, with 18 walks and 44 strikeouts. His ERA is 2.25 in that stretch.
Toussaint had a 6.28 ERA in the first two months of the season.
The Braves have to be thrilled with Toussaint's development, but it would be a surprise if they promoted him to Carolina this summer. The Rome Braves have several other pitchers, notably the older Patrick Weigel and Max Fried, who they may want to push up to Carolina before Toussaint.
If Toussaint continues this good work and finishes strong, the Braves will be thrilled with his first full season in the Atlanta organization. The Braves love his potential and feel Toussaint can be a potential top-of-the-rotation starter.
