The Atlanta Braves are close to a deal that would send right-handed reliever Kevin Gryboski to the Texas Rangers for a minor league player.
The move would open up a spot on the major league roster. With Roman Colon and Adam Bernero not able to immediately come back up from AAA, it is possible the Braves might callup lefty Macay McBride from Richmond. He is one of the options being considered.
Gryboski has pitched in 31 games this season for Atlanta and has two holds. His ERA is 2.95, and he's allowed 24 hits in 21.1 innings of work, seven earned runs, no home runs, 12 walks, and eight strikeouts.
