Atlanta Braves' reliever John Foster will chat with BravesCenter's premium subscribers Tuesday night around 7:15 pm ET.
Foster signed with Atlanta on March 7th after calling Braves' executive Dayton Moore looking for a job. He originally wanted to rehab with the Braves, but pitched well enough in spring training and to make the Triple-A roster in Richmond.
After Tom Martin was ineffective in the first couple of weeks in the regular season, the Braves brought Foster up on April 14th to be their main lefty reliever.
He went 10.2 scoreless innings over seventeen games before allowing his first run of the season on June 8th against the Angels. From June 24th through September 7th, Foster allowed only one earned run over twenty outings (10.2 innings pitched), but he then allowed six runs in his last eight outings (4.0 innings pitched).
Foster was originally drafted by the Braves in the 25th round of the 1999 draft. He made his big league debut with Atlanta in 2002. The Braves then traded him to Milwaukee, where he spent most of the 2003 season. Foster had surgery on his left throwing shoulder and missed the entire 2004 season.
