Elvis Andrus to chat Thursday on BravesCenter

Elvis Andrus, one of Atlanta's top prospects, will chat with BravesCenter.com's premium subscribers Thursday.

He came to camp a year ago at this time and shook up the baseball world. And a year later, he just keeps getting better.

Seventeen-year-old Elvis Andrus is headed for Low-A Rome this season, but before he breaks camp this weekend, the phenom is going to chat with BravesCenter's premium subscribers Thursday afternoon.

The chat will begin a few minutes after Elvis' game is completed. Check in around 12:30 for an update on the game, and we'll let you know when Elvis will be with us.

Andrus started the season in the Gulf Coast League in 2005 and hit .295 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI in 166 at bats. He was then promoted to Danville, where he hit .278 in 18 at bats.

Baseball America named him as the second best prospect in the Braves' system. He's been compared to great shortstops like Derek Jeter, Miguel Tejada, and even Alex Rodriguez.
