Braves Minor League Preview - April 7

BravesCenter's Bill Shanks takes a look at tonight's minor league schedule.

Richmond goes for its second win in a row tonight when they host Buffalo at the Diamond starting at 7:00 pm.

Wes Obermueller, acquired last winter from Milwaukee for Dan Kolb, will take to the hill for the Braves. Obermuller pitched in five big league spring training games last month, posting a 10.13 ERA.

Left-hander Brady Endl gets the start for the M-Braves tonight as they host Huntsville tonight at 8:05 pm ET. Endl was 6-7 last season for Myrtle Beach before having to have season-ending surgery on his non-throwing shoulder.

Mississippi lost 4-2 to the stars Thursday night.

The Pelicans will go for their first win of the season tonight as they host Wilmington at 7:02 pm.

Right-hander Jose Ascanio will get the start for the Pelicans tonight. Ascanio missed most of last season with a back injury, but is healthy and ready to go for his debut tonight.

Rome will send right-hander Jairo Cuevas to the mound in search of its second straight victory of the season. Cuevas was the Appalachian League's Pitcher of the Year in 2005 after a 6-1 record and a 1.95 ERA.

The Braves scored three runs in the last inning Thursday for a come-from-behind victory over the Kannapolis Intimidators.
