Braves Minor League Preview - April 8

Bill Shanks takes a look at Saturday's schedule.

The Richmond Braves go for their second win of the season tonight as they play game three of their series with the Buffalo Bisons. Game time is 7:00.

Right-hander Travis Smith will go for the Braves against Jeremy Guthrie, one of the Indians' top prospects.

Mississippi will send left-hander Brady Endl to the mound tonight to try to stop their two-game losing streak. The Braves have lost two straight games to the Huntsville Stars by the score of 4-2.

Endl was 6-7 last season with Myrtle Beach before ending his season prematurely with surgery on his non-throwing shoulder.

Myrtle Beach has an afternoon game against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Lefty Matt Harrison is on the hill for the Pelicans. He was 12-7 last season for the Rome Braves.

The Pelicans have split their first two games of the season, winning Friday night with a 10th inning single by Diory Hernandez.

Rome goes for its third straight victory tonight when they host the Kannapolis Intimidators starting at 7:05 at State Mutual Stadium.

Lefty Jo Jo Reyes, coming back from Tommy John surgery on his elbow and a torn ACL in his knee, will make his first start for a full-season club in two years.
