Braves Minor League Preview - April 10

Bill Shanks previews tonight's games in the Braves' farm system.


The Richmond Braves go for their second win in a row tonight as they welcome the Durham Bulls to town for the start of a four game series.

Lefty Brian O'Connor will make his first start of the season for Richmond against Durham's Brian Stokes.

The Braves are 2-2 on the season.


Mississippi finishes out its five game series with the Huntsville Stars tonight starting at 8:05 pm ET at Trustmark Park.

Daniel Curtis will go for the Braves against Stars' starter Khalid Ballouli.

The 2-2 Braves need to get their offense going. The team batting average is .228 through the first four games, while the pitching has been solid. Mississippi's team ERA is 2.25 so far this season.


Right-hander James Parr will get his first start of the season as the Pelicans play their first road game tonight. Game time in Winston-Salem is 7:00 pm.

The Pelicans are 2-2 so far this season.


Rome enjoys an off day as they make the trip south to Savannah, where they'll start a four-game series Tuesday against the Sand Gnats.

The Braves are a perfect 4-0 so far this season, already two games up on Asheville in the Southern Division of the Sally League.
