Minor League Preview - Friday April 21

Bill Shanks previews Friday's action around the Braves' farm system.


The Richmond Braves finish their four-game set with the Buffalo Bisons Friday afternoon at 1:00 pm.

Anthony Lerew, in need of a good performance, gets the start for Richmond against Buffalo right-hander Jake Dittler.

The Braves are now 4-11 on the season.


After a stellar pitching performance Thursday by Chris Waters, Daniel Curtis will get the start Friday night as the Mississippi Braves start a five-game series with the Montgomery Biscuits.

Mississippi is now 7-8 on the season.


Myrtle Beach will try to start a new winning streak tonight as they open up a three-game weekend series with the Kinston Indians at Coastal Federal Field.

Lefty Jake Stevens goes for Myrtle Beach. He's 0-3 so far this season and is really in need of a good start.

The Pelicans are 7-8 on the season.


After a rainout Thursday night, the Rome Braves and Augusta Green Jackets will again try to open up a series tonight at State Mutual Stadium.

Jo Jo Reyes (1-0) will go for Rome against Augusta's Shairon Martis (1-0). The Braveas are 10-2 on the season and have the best winning percentage in all of baseball.
