Minor League Preview - Tuesday April 25

Bill Shanks takes a look at Tuesday's schedule around the Braves' farm system.

Richmond returns home to start an eight-game homestand Tuesday night as the Rochester Red Wings play at the Diamond.

Right-hander Kevin Barry will pitch for the Braves against Pete Munro.

The Braves are now 6-13 on the season. They have move ahead of Norfolk out of last place in the International League's South Division, 6.5 games back of first-place Charlotte.

Chris Waters will go for his second straight solid outing Tuesday night as the Mississippi Braves host the Montgomery Biscuits in the final game of a five-game series.

Waters has a 1.59 ERA in his first three starts. He will try to snap Mississippi's four-game losing streak.

The Braves have fallen to 7-12 on the season. They are in a three-way tie for third place with Birmingham and Mobile, five games back of Jacksonville and Montgomery.

Myrtle Beach will send Luis Atilano to the hill tonight as they host the Salem Avalanche at Coastal Federal Field.

Atilano has allowed only two earned runs in his last two starts (over fourteen innings). His ERA is now down to 5.40 after a horrific first start of the season.

The Pelicans are now 9-9 on the season, 3.5 games behind Kinston in the Carolina League's Southern Division.

Rome will try to continue its fantastic roll as they host the Columbus Catfish Tuesday night at State Mutual Stadium. Game time is 7:00 pm.

Jairo Cuevas, who has 18 strikeouts in his first 12 innings this season, will get the start for the Braves. Cuevas is 1-0 on the season.

The Braves are 13-3 on the season, 3.5 games up on second place Columbus in the Sally League's Southern Division.
