Bill Shanks looks at Wednesday's schedule around the Braves' farm system.


Richmond plays game two of its series with Rochester tonight as Anthony Lerew pitches for the Braves against Pete Munro. Game time is 7:00 pm.

The Braves are now 6-14 on the season, 7.5 games back of Charlotte in the International League's South Division.


Mississippi hits the road tonight for the start of a ten-day road trip. Game one against Mobile will start at 8:05 pm ET. Daniel Curtis (1-1) will pitch for the Braves against Roger Deago.

The Braves are now 8-12 on the season, four games back of Jacksonville and Montgomery in the Southern League's South Division.


Myrtle Beach will go for its fourth win in a row tonight as they host the Salem Avalanche starting straight up at 7:02 pm. Right-hander Charlie Morton will pitch for the home team.

The Pelicans are 10-9 on the season, only 3.5 games back of Kinston in the Carolina League's Southern Division.


The Rome Braves have an afternoon game today with the Columbus Catfish starting at 1:00 pm. Jo Jo Reyes is scheduled to get the start for the Braves.

The winning streak is at three and the record is at a remarkable 14-3 for the Rome Braves, who are 4.5 games ahead of the Catfish in the Sally League's Southern Division.
