Minor League Preview - Wednesday May 3

Rome goes for win number twenty Wednesday night. The Braves Show's Bill Shanks takes a look at the schedule around the Braves' farm system.


Richmond is off on Wednesday. They will start an eight-game road trip Thursday with the first of four in Toledo. Travis Smith will be the scheduled starter for the Braves, who are 10-17 on the season and 10.5 games back of Charlotte in the International League's South Division.


The Braves play a rare morning game in Montgomery Wednesday starting at 11:35 am ET. Sean White (1-2) will go for the Braves against Tony Peguero (3-2) for Montgomery. Mississippi is now 10-15 on the season, 4.5 games back of Jacksonville in the Southern League's South Division.


Myrtle Beach plays game three of a four-game series with Salem tonight at 7:05. Jose Ascanio (1-1, 2.96) will start for the Pelicans against James Barthmaier (1-3, 3.91). After losing their last two games, the Pelicans are now 15-11 in the Carolina League's Southern Division, three games back of Kinston.


Rome continues the series with Asheville tonight starting at 7:00 pm. Tyler Bullock (2-1, 4.58) is scheduled to go for the Braves, who are 19-5 on the season and 3.5 games up on Charleston in the Sally League's Southern Division.
