Audio Podcast: Phil Stockman Interview

The Atlanta Braves continue to shuffle people in and out of the bullpen. The latest to join the party is tall right-hander Phil Stockman, who was outstanding this season for both Mississippi and Richmond.

The Braves signed Phil Stockman last year as a six-year free agent from the Diamondbacks' organization. He was recommended by Phil Dale, Atlanta's scout in Australia who was familiar with Stockman for many years.

Stockman was outstanding in the Braves' system this year. He pitched in three games in Double-A Mississippi and did not give up a run. Then he was promoted to Triple-A Richmond, where he saved two games and had a 0.91 ERA in 29.2 innings. Overall, Stockman had only 12 walks and 51 strikeouts in 37 innings, with an ERA of 0.73.
