Moises Hernandez will come out of the Pelicans' bullpen to get a few innings of work and start game two for the Pelicans, who are 22-20 in their second half of the season and four games back of Salem in the Carolina League's Southern Division.
Rome will try to snap a two-game losing streak as they send lefty Beau Jones to the hill tonight in West Virginia. Jones is 4-3 on the season with a 4.65 ERA. The Braves are 19-25 on the season and 14.5 games back of Augusta in the South Atlantic League's Southern Division.
Tommy Hanson, who has been outstanding all season, will pitch for the first place Danville Braves as they play in Bluefield tonight at 7:00 pm. Hanson is 3-1 on the season with a 2.38 ERA. The Braves are two games up on Burlington with a 27-20 record on the season.
The GCL Braves will have lefty Steve Kent (1-3, 3.54) on the mound in Tampa this afternoon as they play the GCL Yankees. The Braves are 18-22 and 8.5 games back of the Tigers in the GCL North.
