Bill Shanks recognizes some of the good performances from around the Braves' farm system on Monday.

James Jurries may have had his best game of the season. Richmond's DH was 3-for-4 Monday afternoon with a solo home run (his sixth) and two runs scored. Jurries finally has his average over the Mendoza line as he is now hitting .202 on the season.

Isaiah Ka'aihue continued his solid season Monday with a two-run home run for Myrtle Beach in the top of the 10th inning. It was the fourth game in a row Ka'aihue has homered. The Pelicans held on for the 10-8 victory in Lynchburg. Ka'aihue now is hitting .225 in Myrtle Beach with 13 home runs and 31 runs batted in. Combined with his numbers in Rome, Ka'aihue is hitting .284 overall with 28 home runs and 80 RBI in 401 at bats.

Earlier Monday Ka'aihue was named the Carolina League's Player of the Week. He hit .348 with 4 home runs and 8 RBI in 23 at bats through Sunday. He continued his good work Monday night.

Danville first baseman Ernesto Mejia was 3-for-4 Monday night as the Braves beat Princeton 8-4. Mejia drove in three runs and now has his average up to .299 on the season.
