Boyer & Rodgers to chat tonight

The Braves Show will welcome two pitchers into its chatroom tonight. The Braves Show's Bill Shanks has more.

Atlanta pitcher Blaine Boyer and Braves' prospect Chad Rodgers will join The Braves Show's premium subscribers in the chatroom tonight.

The chat will begin at 7:00 pm ET. Boyer will be in during the first hour, while Rodgers will start chatting at 9:00 pm ET.

Boyer had a breakout season in 2005 when he came up in June from AA Mississippi. He pitched in 43 games out of the bullpen and had a 3.11 ERA. Boyer then had an injury during the last week of his rookie season to his shoulder, requiring an entire offseason of rehabilitation.

After struggling to make it back in spring training last year, Boyer finally had to be shut down the first week of the regular season. He then had shoulder surgery and missed the remainder of the season.

His surgery rehab went very well and now he's in a normal workout program to prepare for spring training next month. Boyer will discuss his injury and comeback during the chat.

Rodgers was the Braves third round pick in the 2006 draft out of Walsh Jesuit High School in Ohio. He had an impressive season in the Gulf Coast League last summer, posting a 3-2 record in 11 games with a 2.31 ERA.

So join us in the chatroom starting a 7:00 pm ET. We'll also talk about the latest trade rumors involving the Braves as we prepare for spring training in about five weeks.
