Minor League Preview - May 15

Here's a preview of today's action in the Braves' farm system.

Richmond's pitching continues to be the story. The 2.73 team ERA is best in the league and the next closest team (Louisville) has a mark of 3.03. Buddy Carlyle is tied for the league lead in victories with five. He's also eighth with a 2.37 ERA. Trey Hodges has a 2.48 ERA in his first seven games, good enough for tenth in the league.

MISSISSIPPI

Like Richmond, Mississippi leads their league in team ERA at 2.87. The next club in that stat is Birmingham, with a 3.32 ERA. Smith is second in the league with his ERA. Lefty Matt Harrison is ninth with a 3.02 ERA.

Outfielder Matt Esquivel is tied with Evan Longoria for first in the league with ten home runs. Brandon Jones is fourth with eight home runs. Esquivel is second to Longoria in RBIs with 33. Jones is fifth in the league with 27 runs batted in.
