Minor League Preview - May 18

Here's a look at Friday's schedule around the Braves' farm system.


Trey Hodges (1-2, 2.48) will try to extend the Braves' two-game winning streak tonight when they host Rochester in the final game of the series at the Diamond. Game time is 7:00. Richmond is now 26-11 on the season, 9.5 games up on Durham in the International League's South Division.


The Braves host Tennessee in game two of the series at Trustmark Park in Pearl. Lefty Jo Jo Reyes (4-1, 3.45) gets the call for Mississippi against Kevin Hart (2-4, 6.87). The Braves have played very well at home, going 13-3 so far this year. Overall, Mississippi is 28-13, six games up on Jacksonville in the Southern League's South Division.


Jairo Cuevas (0-5, 4.33) will once again try for his first win of the season when the Pelicans take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks in Delaware. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05. Right-hander Randy Hardy (3-0, 0.94) will go for the home team. Myrtle Beach is 18-22 on the season, six games back of Kinston in the Carolina League's Southern Division.


The Braves and River Dogs will finish up their suspended game from Thursday tonight starting at 7:05. Then the two teams will play a regular seven-inning game with Jeff Lyman (0-5, 4.54) on the mound for Rome. The Braves are 11-28 on the season, 18 games back in the Sally League's Southern Division.
