Minor League Preview - May 22

Here's Tuesday's schedule around the Braves' minor league system.


The Braves will try to avoid a sweep and snap a three-game losing streak this afternoon when they host Scranton Wilkes-Barre at 2:00 pm at the Diamond. Buddy Carlyle (5-1, 2.22) will go for the Braves, who are 27-14 on the season and still eight games up on the Durham Bulls.


It's a well-deserved day off for the Mississippi Braves today. They start a five-game series at home against Montgomery Wednesday night at 8:05 pm ET. The Braves (29-16) are still in first place, four games up on the Jacksonville Suns in the Southern League's South Division.


Lefty Jake Stevens (3-3, 5.09) goes for the Pelicans tonight in game two of the three-game set with Winston-Salem. Game time is 7:05 at Coastal Federal Field. The Pelicans are 19-24 on the season, 8.5 games back of Kinston in the Carolina League's Southern Division.


The Braves continue the four-game series with Savannah tonight at State Mutual Stadium. Deunte Heath (1-2, 1.82) and Kyle Cofield (1-4, 4.46) will pitch tonight Rome. The Braves are 13-30, 17 games back of first place Augusta in the South Atlantic League's Southern Division.
