Braves sign four undrafted free agents

The Braves have signed four undrafted free agents.

The Braves have signed three undrafted free agents that will be added to their rookie league teams next week.

Kennesaw State catcher Ray Redden will be a catcher on the Gulf Coast League team. Reddan is six-foot-two, 200-pounder and is known primarily as a defensive catcher. He threw out 25% of attempted base runners the last two seasons at Kennesaw. He transferred to the school from Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Redden was born on January 3, 1984 in Marietta, Georgia. He played high school baseball at Walton High School in the Atlanta area.

Right-handed hitting Joe Spiers will be in the GCL this summer. Spiers, a second baseman and shortstop, was a junior at San Diego State this year after spending two years at the University of Hawaii. Spiers hit .328 this season with one home run and 19 RBI in 131 at bats. He also had 14 stolen bases. Spiers was born on January 16, 1986 in San Jose, California.

Chris Anderson was a junior this season at San Diego State. The right-handed hitting catcher was the Aztecs' starting catcher this season and hit .241 with one home run and 16 runs batted in. The 6'2", 200-pound Anderson turns 22 this October (born 10/27/85 in San Diego). He graduated from Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, California. He will be a backup catcher at Danville.

Chais Fuller will be an infielder on the GCL team. Fuller was a senior this season at the University of Texas and .324 with 2 home runs and 19 RBI. He played in 35 games and started 30. Fuller was bothered by an oblique injury this season. He's mainly a shortstop with solid defensive skills. Fuller was born on August 11, 1984 in Martinez, California. Before playing for the Longhorns, Fuller spent two seasons at Sacramento City College.
