Braves 400 Club to host 42nd Eddie Glennon Gameboree February 2, 2008 at 5:30 PM Atlanta Marriott Century Center Hotel 2000 Century Boulevard, Atlanta, GA

The Braves 400 Club will host its annual winter banquet and fundraiser on Saturday February 2 at the Marriott Century Center. Reception and silent auction and raffle of Braves memorabilia begins at 5:30 with the awards dinner and program following at 7:00 PM.

This year's theme, "Celebrating 30 Years of TBS and the Atlanta Braves", will feature players, announcers and video highlights from the past 30 seasons of WTBS coverage. Longtime Braves announcer Pete Van Wieren will emcee the evening's festivities. Early RSVPs include Skip and Chip Caray, Phil Niekro, Rick Camp, former Major Leaguer Jerry Lynch, and Braves minor league stars Jo Jo Reyes, Jordan Schafer, Wes Timmons, Richmond manager Dave Brundage, former UGA star and Cubs minor leaguer Jonathan Wyatt, Metro-Atlanta High School Player of the Year Chris Epps from Dunwoody High School, and Glenn Diamond from Turner Sports. Additional celebrity guests are anticipated.

Awards include the Ivan Allen Jr. "Mr. Baseball" Award, Luke Appling Nostalgia Award, outstanding performances by Braves minor leaguers, college and high school players, and the 2008 Phil Niekro College Scholarships.

The Braves 400 Club, the official fan club of the Atlanta Braves, was formed in 1965, a full year before the Braves made their move from Milwaukee to Atlanta, and has been an integral part of the fan base for the Atlanta Braves ever since. The club is a non-profit organization supporting baseball at all levels - awarding baseball scholarships to metro-Atlanta colleges and recognizing metro-Atlanta high school all-stars as well as minor and major league players in the Braves organization.
