Jerome Gamble in Braves minor league camp

The Braves have right-hander Jerome Gamble in minor league camp.

Gamble is a six-foot-two, 200-pound right-hander that pitched last season in the South Coast League for South Georgia. He started eight games and was 4-2 with a 3.86 ERA, with 42 strikeouts in 39.2 innings.

Gamble was originally in the Red Sox organization and made it to Double-A by 2003 with Portland in the Eastern League. He was mainly a starting pitcher but was a reliever in 2005 for the Huntsville Stars in the Brewers' organization.

The Braves are giving Gamble a look in minor league camp during the month of March.
