Minor League Preview - May 16

Here is Friday night's schedule around the Braves minor league system.


The Braves finish their series in Indianapolis tonight at 7:15 with right-hander Matt DeSalvo going for Richmond against righty Luis Munoz. The Braves are now 22-18 on the season, four games up on Durham in the International League's South Division.


The Braves continue the series with Chattanooga Friday night at 7:15 pm ET. James Parr (1-3, 5.63) will go for the Braves against right-hander Ramon Ramirez (2-1, 3.72). The Braves are now 14-27 on the season.


The Pelicans return to BB&T Coastal Field tonight to start a series with the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Chris Vines (1-0, 0.84) will get his second start of the season for the Pelicans, while the Blue Rocks will send Jason Godin (2-2, 3.82) to the mound. Myrtle Beach is now 25-15 on the season, six games up on Winston-Salem in the Carolina League's Southern Division.


Rome welcomes Hickory to town Friday night to start a four-game series. The Braves will send lefty Chad Rodgers to the hill in the opener. Rome has lost three in a row and is now 13-26 on the season.
