Minor League Preview - June 10

Chuck James pitches tonight for Richmond. Here's today's complete minor league schedule.

The Braves start a series at home against Scranton-Wilkes Barre tonight at 7:05 at the Diamond. Chuck James is expected to make his second start since coming off the disabled list. He'll face Daniel McCutchen. Richmond is now 32-31, a game and a half behind Durham in the International League's South Division.

The Braves are off today. They have lost three in a row and are now 26-39 on the season, 12 games out of first place. Mississippi starts a five-game series against Tennessee Wednesday night at Trustmark Park in Pearl.

The Pelicans host Lynchburg in game two of the series at BB&T Coastal Field tonight at 7:05. Right-hander Kyle Cofield (3-4, 2.56) will pitch for Myrtle Beach against Hillcats' lefty Brian Holliday (1-5, 6.12). The Pelicans (41-23) have lost three in a row, but it really doesn't matter as they have already clinched the first half Southern Division title in the Carolina League.

The Braves have game two of the set against Charleston tonight at State Mutual Stadium. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:00. Eric Barrett, who has allowed 28 earned runs in his last six games (13.26 ERA), will start for the Braves. Rome is 21-42 on the season, 22.5 games out of first place.
