The Atlanta Braves have sold the contract of Richmond reliever Chris Resop to the Hanshin Tigers in the Japanese Central League.

The Braves then designated him for assignment on May 26th. Resop passed through waivers and was assigned to Richmond in the International League. Resop pitched in nine games for the Richmond team and was 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA. He allowed three earned runs on 14 hits in 18 innings, with 12 walks, and 22 strikeouts.
