Cody Johnson is headed to the Southern League for the last full week of the season.
The Braves promoted Johnson to Mississippi after a stellar season for the 21-year-old with Myrtle Beach in the Carolina League. Johnson was hitting .243 with a league-leading 32 home runs and 84 RBI in 419 at bats.
Johnson had an OBP at .347 and a slugging percentage of .520 (best in the league). The powerful lefty slugger also struck out 168 times, also tops in the Carolina League.
