Braves left-handed pitching prospect DiMaster Delgado will probably be out for the 2010 season after suffering injuries in a car accident.
Delgado has a fracture in his left (throwing) hand above the wrist and an injury to his right upper leg.
The Braves will fly him to Atlanta soon to visit with team doctors. The hope is Delgado can return in time for the Instructional League in October.
Delgado was slated to be in the Myrtle Beach rotation after going 5-7 last season in 17 starts for Rome. Delgado had a 3.61 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 99.2 innings in 17 starts.
The Braves Show rated Delgado as Atlanta's 19th best prospect in the Fox Fantasy Baseball Guide.
