Braves prospect Vizcaino to have MRI on elbow

Arodys Vizcaino is headed for a MRI, and the Braves will hold their breath.

The Braves have placed Myrtle Beach RHP Arodys Vizcaino on the disabled list. Vizcaino has experienced elbow soreness the past couple of days, and the Braves have sent him to Atlanta for an MRI. Right now, it is simply being labeled an elbow strain by the team.

Vizcaino started the year in Rome, going 9-3 with a 2.34 ERA in 12 starts. He was then promoted to High-A Myrtle Beach where he's started three games, yet to record a decision while posting a 4.61 ERA.

Vizcaino is one of the promising young arms in the Braves' organization, acquired in December from the Yankees in the Javier Vasquez trade. We will update you with his MRI results as they become available.
