St. Louis Cardinals minor league outfielder Stephen Piscotty, currently a member of the Arizona Fall League's Salt River Rafters, has been named the AFL Player of the Week for week 2 of the season.
Over the six games, Piscotty, a 22-year-old Pleasanton, CA native, led the prospect showcase in batting (.611), hits (11), and total bases (16) and tied for the lead in triples (2). He tied for second in stolen bases (3), and ranked third in on-base percentage (.636) and fourth in slugging percentage (.889).
At .414, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Stanford University product ranked fifth in league
hitting after two weeks and entered week three with the most at-bats (29) among the league's six .400 hitters.
