I'm going down to the FedEx Forum next Sunday to decide if we want to change the location of our season tickets for Memphis Tigers basketball. If you're familiar with the Forum, we are currently in the middle level, or the "C" level. We have had floor seats in the past, but we actually like the view from the "C" level better. At one point, we had seats on the 2nd row at midcourt in the "C" level, but we somehow got bumped up a bit higher last season. I think we're going to try to get moved back down lower in the same section for this season.
This season should be a fun one for Memphis fans. The last time I looked, the team looks to be about 13 players deep. I don't mean 13 players who can give a couple minutes here and there. I mean up to 13 players who can contribute.
I'm right there with you Skinny. I don't make it to a lot of games but I'm definitely going to hit one this season. Pastner has got this program heading in the right direction. The good news is that I have a new job with normal (7-4) hours now, so I'll get to watch more games on TV than I have in several years.
That is so sweet! I had no idea Freese is a Tiger fan. Is that you in the photo with him? Where did you get this photo and when? I wonder if some of the players who come up through the system follow the Tigers since many of them spend a lot of time in Memphis in AAA ball.
By the way, very disappointing game today, huh? As crazy as it sounds, I kind of feel like they may have been looking past or underestimated Michigan. I know all the analyst kept saying things like we will be playing Michigan and then probably Duke. That doesn't tell you anything about the players' mindsets but it seems clear that a lot of analysts and probably fans were looking past Michigan towards Duke.
Well it's still early in the season. I don't think Memphis played up to its potential. The good news is this loss won't kill us because we have plenty of tough non-conference games to go. I was just hoping we'd beat Michigan, Duke and Kansas on this trip. I know that's much easier said than done but the way Memphis performed against Belmont, I really thought it was at least possible.
I wish it was me but it's not. I'm much better looking than this guy. I actually stole this from a friends FB page. ON memphistigers.org there was another pic of him wearing the same hat at the grove with a bunch of sorority girls. That was even cooler. I know that Motte married a girl from Memphis and lives in High Point so I assume that is why he was in the area. I think that Tiger loss could help in the long run. Go ahead and humble these guys before they get to full of themselves.
