Arizona Fall League

 

Zack Cox (GCL-Surprise) started as designated hitter and batted third.  0-for-5 with four strikeouts.

Tony Cruz (Memphis-Surprise) started and first base and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one RBI and one run and assisted in one double play.

October 11th Results:

 

Javier Colina (Former Memphis-Venezuela) started in right field and batted fourth.  2-for-5 with one home run, two RBIs, and three runs.

Yonathan Sivira (Former Quad Cities-Venezuela) started in centerfield and batted sixth.  1-for-6 with one RBI.

Wilmer Alvarado (Former Quad Cities-Venezuela) started at third base and batted seventh.  1-for-3 with one home run, two RBIs, and two runs.

Reynier Gonzalez (Former Johnson City-Venezuela) entered in the fourth and pitched 3.1 innings.  He allowed two hits, one earned run, hit one batter, and struck one out for the winning decision.

Omar Diaz (Former GCL-Venezuela) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs.

 

Venezuela beat Dominican Republic 17-4

 

Brian Barden (Former St. Louis-USA) started in left field and batted ninth.  1-for-2 with one run.

 

USA beat Cuba 4-1

Puerto Rican League

 

Kiko Calero (Former St. Louis) and Raul Gonzalez (Former Memphis) are expected to play for Caguas: Primera Hora

 

Yadier Molina has expressed his interested to stay in St. Louis once his current contract expires, but has ruled out playing for Carolina this winter, and will rehab over the offseason: Primera Hora
