Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 10/26/10

Romulo Ruiz goes 3-for-4 with one triple, one home run, four RBI, and two runs for Player of the Day honors. Zach Cox doubles and drives in two runs in AFL action. Eduardo Sanchez receives permission to pitch in LVBP. Andrew Brown heads to the LVBP for the winter. Domnit Bolivar homers and knocks in two runs. Hector Hernandez debuts in Puerto Rico.

Arizona Fall League

 

Tony Cruz (Memphis-Surprise) started at catcher and batted fifth.  1-for-4 with one two-out RBI, two walks, and one strikeout.

Zack Cox (GCL-Surprise) started as designated hitter and batted sixth.  2-for-5 with one double, two two-out RBIs, and two strikeouts.

Adron Chambers (Memphis-Surprise) entered in the in the ninth as designated hitter and batted sixth. 0-for-1 with one run.

Blake King (Springfield-Surprise) entered in the seventh and pitched to six batters. He allowed two hits, two earned runs, and two walks for the blown save (1). (p-s:30-15)(g/f:0-2)
