Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 11/05/10

Zack Cox drives in two runs in AFL action for Player of the Day Honors. Tony Cruz collects three hits and one RBI in the AFL. Amaury Cazana reaches base three times in the LMP. Eduardo Sanchez pitches one scoreless in LVBP debut. Romulo Ruiz triples and drives in one run, Francisco Guzman tosses two scoreless for win in Parallel League play.

Arizona Fall League

 

Adron Chambers (Memphis-Surprise) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  1-for-4 with one RBI and one sac fly.

Zack Cox (GCL-Surprise) started at third base and batted third. 1-for-3 with two RBIs (one w/two-outs), one walk, one sac fly, and two strikeouts.

Tony Cruz (Memphis-Surprise) started at catcher and batted fourth. 3-for-4 with one two-out RBI, one run, one walk, and allowed one stolen base.

Pete Kozma (Springfield-Surprise) started at shortstop and batted seventh.  0-for-3 with one run, two walks, two strikeouts, and assisted in one double play.

Ramon Delgado (Springfield-Surprise) entered in the second and pitched two innings.  He allowed three hits, two earned runs, one home run, struck two out, and assisted in one double play. (p-s:35-26)(g/f:2-2)
