Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 12/10/10

Jose Martinez goes 5-for-8 with one RBI in two games for Player of the Day honors. Romulo Ruiz picks up three hits and an RBI and Hector Garcia, Roberto Espinoza, Kevin Moscatel, and Ronnierd Garcia each drove in one in Venezuelan Parallel League play. Pedro Feliz collects two hits and an RBI in the Dominican. Richard Mendoza earns his second win in Puerto Rico.

Mexican Pacific League

 

Amaury Cazana (Memphis-Culiacan) started in right field and batted sixth.  0-for-5 at the plate.

Notes:

Edgar Renteria (Former St. Louis) was honored by the Colombian government success in major league baseball and also reiterated that he would like to play next season.  Renteria said he is in talks with the Giants and is open to returning to the Cardinals and even threw in the Cubs as another possible destination: El Heraldo
