Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 12/19/10

Pedro Feliz collects two hits and drives in two runs in the Dominican for Player of the Day honors. Jose Rada pitched a scoreless 1 2/3 innings in the LVBP. Former Cardinal Brian Barden finds a new home for 2011. Ex-MiLB Cardinal Iker Franco hits a three-run homer in LMP and former Cardinal Hector Luna doubles and drives in two in the Dominican.

Mexican Pacific League

 

Brian Barden (Former St. Louis-Mazatlan) started at second base and batted second.  0-for-3 with one strikeout and assisted in one double play.

 

Iker Franco (Former Springfield-Obregon) started at catcher and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with one home run, three RBIs, one run, and one strikeout.

 

Obregon beat Mazatlan 5-2 in game one of doubleheader

 

Brian Barden (Former St. Louis-Mazatlan) started at second base and batted second.  0-for-3 with one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

 

Emil Brown (Former Memphis-Obregon) started in right field and batted fourth.  2-for-2 with one RBI and two walks.

Iker Franco (Former Springfield-Obregon) started at first base and batted sixth.  0-for-3 with one walk.
