Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 12/27/10

Antonio DeJesus connects for two hits and drives in two runs in Puerto Rico for Player of the Day honors. Pedro Feliz singles, doubles, and knocks in two runs in the Dominican Round Robin. Jose Rada holds three runners on in 1 1/3 relief innings in the LVBP. Tyler Greene moves from the Dominican to Venezuela.

Mexican Pacific League

 

Amaury Cazana (Memphis-Culiacan) started in right field and batted third.  0-for-4 with one strikeout.

Andres Meza (Puebla-Culiacan) started and pitched six innings.  He allowed six hits, two earned runs, two walks, and struck one out for the winning decision (7-3). (g/f:9-7)

 

Iker Franco (Former Springfield-Obregon) started at catcher and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one double, one two-out RBI, one strikeout, and threw one runner out.

Hugo Castellanos (Former Memphis-Obregon) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck two out. (g/f:0-1)

 

Culiacan beat Obregon 3-2

Ricardo Rodriguez (Former Memphis-Estrellas) entered in the eighth and pitched to four batters.  He allowed two hits, two earned runs, and hit one batter. (g/f:1-0)
