Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 12/28/10

Player of the Day Roberto Espinoza collects two hits while getting time in the outfield in the LVBP. Pedro Feliz triples and drives in one run, Raul Valdes K's three over five innings for the win, and Francisco Samuel pitches a scoreless inning all in the Dominican. Former Cardinals Armando Rios triples and knocks in three runs in Puerto Rico and Brian Barden hits a two-run shot in the LMP.

Mexican Pacific League

 

Amaury Cazana (Memphis-Culiacan) started in right field and batted third.  0-for-3 with two strikeouts.

 

Iker Franco (Former Springfield-Obregon) started at catcher and batted sixth.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one sac fly, and one strikeout.

 

Obregon beat Culiacan 10-5
