Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 12/31/10

Romulo Ruiz connects for four hits including a double and scores four runs in the LVBP for Player of the Day honors. Tyler Greene collects two hits and scores one run, Kevin Moscatel picks up one hit and Renyel Pinto earns his fifth save all in the LVBP. Francisco Samuel strikes out two over a scoreless inning in the Dominican.

Mexican Pacific League

 

Brian Barden (Former St. Louis-Mazatlan) started at third base and batted sixth. 2-for-3 with one RBI, two runs, two walks, and grounded into one double play.

Renyel Pinto (Former Memphis-Caribes) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed two hits, no runs, and struck one out for the save (5). (g/f:1-1)

Chad Gabriel (Former Quad Cities-Brisbane) started in left field and batted fifth.  0-for-5 with two strikeouts.
