Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 01/02/11

Amaury Cazana doubles twice and scores for Player of the Day honors and former Springfield catcher Iker Franco doubles and drives in two runs all in the LMP. Former Quad Cities outfielder Chad Gabriel connects for a two-run shot and ex-Palm Beach hurler Wayne Lundgren strikes out six over five innings all in the ABL. Evan MacLane officially lands a deal to pitch in Japan.

Mexican Pacific League Playoffs


Iker Franco (Former Springfield-Obregon) started at catcher and batted sixth.  2-for-3 with one double, two two-out RBIs, one walk, and one strikeout.
