Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 01/06/11

Amaury Cazana hits a grand slam to lead Culiacan to a sweep in LMP and is our Player of the Day. Tyler Greene collects two hits and scores, Rich Rundles strikes out his only batter faced, and former Cardinal Timo Perez debuts in LVBP. Former Cardinal Alberto Castillo doubles and drives in two and Rainel Rosario gets his first taste of the playoffs in the Dominican.

Mexican Pacific League Playoffs

 

Amaury Cazana (Memphis-Culiacan) started in right field and batted third.  1-for-5 with one home run, four two-out RBIs, one run, and one strikeout.

 

Brian Barden (Former St. Louis-Mazatlan) started at third base and base and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with one strikeout.
