Cardinals Beat Dodgers 9-2 on Saturday Night

Outfielder Allen Craig and starter Kyle McClellan led St. Louis to another road victory in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

The St. Louis Cardinals had a new star Saturday night in Los Angeles as they defeated the Dodgers, 9-2. Allen Craig, starting in place of Lance Berkman with left-hander Clayton Kershaw on the mound, hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning.

The Cardinals have won all three Kyle McClellan starts this season as the right-hander earned his second consecutive win. He allowed one run and six hits in seven innings, struck out two and walked none.

Streaking St. Louis won its fourth consecutive game and sixth in seven contests.
