Andrew Brown launches a two-run shot as Memphis goes down in fourth straight loss. Matt Adams hits two-run homer, Niko Vasquez drives in two as Springfield has winning streak snapped. Player of the Day Audry Perez hits two homers, Eric Fornataro goes seven innings as Palm Beach ends losing streak. Anthony Ferrara allows one run over 6 2/3 in Quad Cities victory.

Individual Highlights:

Adron Chambers 2-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI, one run, and two strikeouts.

Nick Stavinoha 1-for-4 with one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

Ramon Vazquez 1-for-5 with , one RBI, one run, and one strikeout.

Matt Carpenter 1-for-1 with one RBI, two runs, and three walks.

Andrew Brown 1-for-3 with one home run, two RBIs, one run, and one walk.

Pete Kozma 1-for-4 with one double, two two-out RBIs, and one strikeout.

Cory Rauschenberger entered in the seventh and pitched 1.2 innings.  He allowed one hit and no runs. (p-s:26-15)(g/f:2-1)

 

Rough Outing:

Bryan Anderson 0-for-4 with two ground into double plays and allowed one stolen base.

Editor's note: I attended this game and both of Perez' home runs were solidly hit and pulled over the left-field wall. The first was inside the foul pole while the second was to straight left. Fornataro had a very impressive two-hit shutout going through six innings before appearing to tire in the seventh.
