Cardinals Minor League Notebook: 05/15/11

Pete Kozma triples and drives in four runs as Memphis ends three-game losing streak. Eric Duncan homers but Springfield drops second straight. Palm Beach rained out. Ryan Copeland throws 3 1/3 hitless in game one, Chris Edmondson triples in three runs (for a total of four on the day) in game two as Quad Cities splits doubleheader.

Memphis beat Fresno 7-5

 

Individual Highlights:

Jim Rapoport 0-for-4 with one RBI and one walk.

Andrew Brown 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBIs, two runs, and one walk.

Matt Carpenter 2-for-4 with one double, one run, and grounded into one double play.

Bryan Anderson 1-for-3 with one double, two runs, one intentional walk, two strikeouts, and picked one runner off.

Pete Kozma 2-for-4 with one double, one triple, four RBIs, and one run.

Corey Rauschenberger entered in the sixth and pitched two innings.  He allowed two hits, no runs, one walk, threw one wild pitch, and struck one out for the hold (3).  1-for-1 with one double at the plate. (p-s:42-24)(g/f:2-1)

 

Rough Outing:

Adam Ottavino started and pitched five innings.  He allowed seven hits, four earned runs, four walks, and struck three out for the winning decision (1-3).  1-for-2 with one strikeout at the plate.  (p-s:95-56)(g/f:5-5)
