Nick Stavinoha, Daryl Jones each drive in two runs in Memphis win. Maikel Cleto gets wild, Ryan Jackson doubles in one run as Springfield loses third straight. Luis De La Cruz drills two-run shot before Palm Beach game is cancelled. Quad Cities with day off. Robelys Reyes, Domingo Diaz each knock in two runs as DSL wins second consecutive.

Memphis beat New Orleans 5-3

 

Individual Highlights:

Jim Rapoport 3-for-4 with one walk.

Adron Chambers 2-for-4 with one RBI, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Nick Stavinoha 1-for-5 with two two-out RBIs, one strikeout, grounded into one double play, and assisted in one double play.

Bryan Anderson 1-for-3 with one double, one run, and one walk.

Donovan Solano 2-for-3 with one sacrifice and assisted in one double play.

Daryl Jones 1-for-2 with one double, two RBIs, one run, two walks (one intentional), and one strikeout.

Brandon Dickson 1-for-1 with one double and one run.

Cory Rauschenberger entered in the fourth and pitched 2.1 innings.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck three out.  0-for-1 with one strikeout at the plate. (p-s:34-22)(g/f:2-0)

Rough Outing:

Pete Kozma 0-for-4 with one strikeout.

Brian Broderick started and pitched three innings.  He allowed four hits, three earned runs, and one home run. (p-s:49-33)(g/f:4-2)

 

Former Cardinal:

Joe Thurston 1-for-4 with one run and one strikeout.

 

Notes:

The Blue Jays signed former Memphis Redbird Kevin Howard, who was playing for the Lancaster Barnstormers of the independent Atlantic League, and assigned him to Triple-A Las Vegas.
