Both divisions combined to have 18 elite players and were announced Friday by President Tom Kayser from the League Office in San Antonio.
Adams was voted the league's top first baseman, and was also named as the Texas League Player of the Year, one of many franchise firsts for Adams. The slugger was the first in Springfield history to mash 30 homers in a season (previous record was 29 by Colby Rasmus in 2007) and, at the time of the release, was within three of matching the all-time RBI mark set by Travis Hanson in 2005 with 97. He is also the active Texas League leader in batting average at .312.
Ryan Jackson not only excelled on offense, but he lived up to all expectations in the field as well. The former 5th round selection from Miami (Florida) set career highs in home runs (10) and RBI (69) while compiling a .970 fielding percentage playing arguably the toughest position on the field. He came into 2011 rated as the best defensive infielder in the Cardinals organization according to Baseball America.
Shelby Miller, rated as the top prospect in the organization, shined while on the mound with the Springfield Cardinals. At the time of the release, Miller was second on the team with seven wins and led all starters with a 3.05 ERA in just 14 games.
"We are honored to have three Post Season All-Stars this season, including the Player of the Year," said Springfield Vice President and General Manager Matt Gifford. "These players have represented our team and themselves with the upmost class and deserve this as a reward for being great Cardinals on and off the field. This is a great example of our fans opportunity to see the future of Cardinals baseball every night at Hammons Field."

Note: Six Cardinals players were earlier selected as mid-season Texas League All-Stars, as two full squads were named to participate in the league's annual contest. Three were pitchers – Mike Blazek, Maikel Cleto (promoted), Samuel Freeman (replacement). Three were position players – Adams, Jackson and Alex Castellanos (since traded).
