Cardinals Winter League Notebook: 10/12/11

Chuckie Fick threw three scoreless innings of relief for Team USA while Matt Adams and Tyler Lyons helped Peoria take an AFL win.

World Cup/Pan Am

 

Curt Smith (former Springfield-Netherlands) started at first base and batted fourth.  0-for-3 with one walk and two strikeouts.

 

Netherlands beat South Korea 5-1

 

Joe Thurston (former St. Louis-USA) started at second base and batted third.  1-for-4 with one run, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Chuckie Fick (Memphis-USA) entered in the fourth and pitched three innings.  He allowed three hits and no runs. (g/f:4-3)

Matt Adams (Springfield-Peoria) started at first base and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with two runs, one walk, and assisted in two double plays.

Tyler Lyons (Palm Beach-Peoria) started and pitched four innings.  He allowed two hits, one earned run, one walk, and struck three out. (p-s:57-37)(g/f:4-4)
