Dail Villaneuva induces a fly out and holds a runner on for the winning decision in Venezuela. Romulo Ruiz, Ildemaro Vargas, and Ronnierd Garcia connect for homers in the Parallel League. Oscar Taveras singles, doubles, and drives in one in Arizona. Matt Carpenter and Mark Hamilton debut in the Dominican.

Joe Thurston (former St. Louis-USA) started as designated hitter and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base, and two strikeouts.

Royce Ring (former Memphis-USA) entered in the sixth and pitched to two batters.  He allowed two hits and one earned run.
