Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 10/26/11

Jermaine Curtis collects two hits, drives in one run, and scores two in Mexico. Sam Freeman strikes out two over 1 1/3 and Dail Villaneuva pitches a scoreless frame in Venezuela. Fermin Montanez allows one run over 3 1/3 in Parallel League action. Francisco Samuel strikes out both batters faced in the Dominican.

Pan American Games

 

Juan Richardson (former Springfield-Dominican Republic) started at third base and batted third.  3-for-6 with two doubles, four RBIs, one run, two strikeouts, and grounded into one double play.

 

Tony Granadillo (former New Jersey-Venezuela) started at third base and batted sixth.  1-for-4 with one triple, three runs, one walk, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.

Yonathan Sivira (former Quad Cities-Venezuela) started in centerfield and batted ninth.  4-for-4 with one double, three RBIs, and one run.
