Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 11/01/11

Matt Adams doubles, homers, and drives in five runs in Arizona. Romulo Ruiz collects two singles, homers, and drove in three runs; Hector Garcia connects for two singles and knocks in three runs; and Anderson Gerdel earns his third win all in the Venezuelan Parallel League.

Arizona Fall League

 

Matt Adams (Springfield-Peoria) started at first base and batted fourth.  2-for-4 with one double, one home run, five RBIs (one w/two-outs), one run, one sac fly, two strikeouts, and assisted in two double plays.

Ryan Jackson (Springfield-Peoria) started as designated hitter and batted eighth.   2-for-4 at the plate.

Keith Butler (Palm Beach-Peoria) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, and one walk. (p-s:9-4)(g/f:2-0)

David Kopp (Memphis-Peoria) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs. (p-s:16-11)(g/f:2-1)
