Cardinals Winter Leagues Notebook: 11/16/11

Cesar Valera singles, doubles, and knocks in three in Parallel League play. Ryan Jackson singles, doubles, and drives in two in Arizona. Amaury Cazana hits game-winning homer and Jermaine Curtis collects two hits and scores in Mexico. Jose Rada pitches two scoreless innings in Venezuela. Victor Marte earns his seventh save in the Dominican.

Arizona Fall League

 

Ryan Jackson (Springfield-Peoria) started at third base and batted fifth.  2-for-2 with one double, two RBIs, two runs, and two strikeouts.

Oscar Taveras (Quad Cities-Peoria) started in left field and batted eighth.  0-for-4 with one strikeout.

Keith Butler (Palm Beach-Peoria) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, one walk, and struck one out. (p-s:16-10)(g/f:0-2)
